How did Cakes 2 Party 4 Introduce itself to the business world?

Way back, so way back it was the last year of the last century...my daughter was born. I always wanted to work round my family.

I hadn't made a cake since leaving school and for whatever reason I decided to make my daughter's first birthday cake.

Yes, I did it all wrong! All of it...well not all of it. I didn't even pipe the message on the cake. I used some very sticky roll out icing...still I enjoyed the cake making process.

For the next few years made cakes for friends and family. Honing my skills, soaking up any knowledge like a sponge (the more cake form of sponge the better!)

Now, I have an established list of customers, many of whom return again and again. As do their friends and family who have had cake at a celebration.

I have my own work room kitchen, specifically for making cakes and that room is where the magic happens!

Cake is like fashion design and there are always changes, new ideas. This makes the cake world an exciting place to work, as it isn't stagnant for long.
